Discovering the Relevance of Words

Natasha Trethewey Says it Matters

I find this one to be a bit timely. About a month ago, I sent current Poet Laureate, Natasha Trethewey, a message about the relevance of poetry in the current era. She never wrote me back; however, she just gave an entire speech on how poetry matters. I have to wonder if it was at all inspired by way message to her. Interesting.
