    “wood and skin”

    What’s the difference between me
and you? I live in a tree, and you,
in a shoe. The too much feeding
    and cleaning and doing,
and the spanking and the shoeing,
and this meaning to kick me blue
    until I am red-welt blister-ache oozing?

I branch freely and seize winds to
help de-leave me. I root to water; streams,
and any source that quenches age rings.
I sing; breezes whistle across budding
    spring branches reaching, a vibrating
    that reinstates leaves, reinvigorates–
me sitting, a lotus, in this transforming

    and fitting blue shade.

What’s the difference between me and you?
I create a mini me inside of a new you.
    A masoginist pychologist.
    Big boobs with hard nipples,
    No bits and no kibbles.
I rip just to see the ripples.
Drum up a homophobic pansexual and
    a neutered transexual.
Let ’em get at each other
    like a couple of heterosexuals.

I’ve learned to contextualize your despise
of my lines that are aided by nine lives
    six wives
    and a shattered faith.
Call me King John or Henry the Eighth.
’cause I rule with absolute power.
    The divine right of kings-
sent by God to devour the cowards
    who try for my rings.
So sit back, shut up and listen to me sing.
