Discovering the Relevance of Words
Today, I am out of my element.
I’m covering the front desk at the company where I work. Those who know me personally will already be laughing; to say I’m unsuitable for work as a receptionist is an understatement worthy of the driest, most deadpan wit.
Yet here I am.
And the only thing that’s getting me through is imagining the possibly hilarious, certainly humiliating, stories that I may be able to gather from this experience.
Everyone has had a crappy job. And I’m sure almost everyone has a funny story about that job.
