I’m on a stage. I’m singing lead and playing bass with one of my favorite bands. The crowd is screaming and singing along to every song. They reach for me and my band mates because we inspire them and they feel like if they could just touch us, we would be their best friend. We play an hour set of songs and the crowd knows and sings along to every one of them. I have a feeling of bliss which I have never been close to feeling previously. The show ends. Or does it. Everything just stopped. No. No. This has to be real. I need this to be real! But it was just a dream. I guess I’ll go back to my boring lonely life. Dreams like this are why it’s hard for me to get through school when I would so much rather be playing my bass, whether alone or with a band.
