The Daily Prompt – Nov 4 – Technology


1. Use the prompt in the way it’s intended (starting a sentence, the title of the piece, theme, etc)

2. You may write in any format you see fit (fiction, non-fiction, poem, song, script, etc.)

3. Post your piece of writing in the comments section of the website to be considered for the ‘Best Of’ section.

The Prompt –

All digital technology has been shut down. Write a short-short story about how this would change daily life.

    With the loss of technology, I have probably lost a little bit of my sanity. I, like many others, loved the LCD screens and millions of websites the Internet had to offer. Now I’m spending my mornings walking to school and writing everything down by hand.

    I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss what we had before. I am part of the natural users generation. We’ve grown up with this tech. I think I can adjust, but the translation will be difficult.
