Discovering the Relevance of Words
I just saw a commercial for an I Love Lucy Christmas Special. In color. I had forgotten about colorization. I thought we all agreed it was a terrible idea when we first came up with it. But it came back.
As a species, it seems like we just can’t help ourselves. Flipping through channels, I see Wayne Brady hosting a new version of Let’s Make A Deal. I see commercials for movies, all of which are reboots or sequels or adaptations of a book or TV show that’s been successful already. We look back with nostalgia at the things that made us happy in the past and we just have to tinker with them.
That being said, I can’t wait for the Gilligan’s Island movie. Isn’t there one coming out about Ouija boards too? How could that be bad?
