The Poetry Question

Discovering the Relevance of Words

QOTD – Can you see it?

When I read I always picture the characters in my head, but be never completely and typically not originally.

Meaning, during an action sequence I might see an arm or a face but not the entire person.

Or else I picture characters as myself or people I know. Or existing characters. For example, in the Song of Ice and Fire books, I picture Jon Snow as a friendly, less smug version of Draco Malfoy.

What about you? When you read, do you see words or images?
(It’d be interesting to see if there’s a patter with imagination and enjoyment from reading)
