REPLAYS: SAN JUNIPERO BY GABRIELKNOWSEVERYTHING
At times, writing can be used as a point for self-reflection. The pen and I have an open dialogue in which I put all of my thoughts onto paper. Some would say it’s venting, I’d say it’s therapeutic as the main objective is to organize my feelings and views collectively.
The next artist, Gabrielknowseverything, is an eccentric alternative artist that encompassed various genres in his music. He recently released his latest album, To The Dead on streaming services, lead by the single, San Junipero. Originally set up as a poem, the subject matter of the song is an example of how self-reflection can help yield new views and emotions based on one’s own personal experiences. Check out the track and the new album available now.

San Junipero (inspired by the song of the same name)
To leave it all on this earth
Seeking permanence in these verses
Been playing out my own story to find what my worth is
My purpose
Sometimes life feels like a circus
Swinging back and forth through setbacks
Yet I became a better acrobat
At times, I’ve felt like I’m walking on a tightrope
Hopefully, my feet land on the mat
Seen so much life in such a little time
That it feels like it’s fading away
At times I don’t want to get older
I want the good moments to stay
I want the moments more than sixty minutes
That ain’t enough time to get out and play
Oh what fun it’d be to be young again and naive
Sheltered by our innocence and wearing hearts on our sleeve
Tattooed on my heart is to remain humble and carefree
Etched into my mind in order to escape from reality
