Meek Mill is a Grammar Felon

It’s been a while since we’ve heard the grammar sirens go off, but this one deserved an arrest.

Meek, your grammar needs work. I suppose you could have used “da” instead of “the,” but either way, you have shown that you should have stayed in school. Please remember you have young followers who look to your for knowledge – you’ve failed them.

Grammar Police – Ryan Lochte “U” have been arrested

First of all, who let this guy out of the water? I understand that in today’s world, an athlete can’t simply be an athlete; they have to somehow transcend the sport, and move toward television, or music, or whatever it is they think they are good at, or will at least find a regular source of income. Well, Ryan Lochte, has somehow fooled everyone into thinking that he should have a TV show, and a public forum wherein he can attempt to speak his mind – or what there is of it – on a regular basis.

Well, Mr. Lochte, you are a severe Grammar Felon, and your tweet has been arrested. We hope you reply, and we hope you correct your grammar. Celebrities should always remember that they have a young audience, and therefore, need to watch what they type, and how they type it.

Grammar Police – Busta Rhymes has been Busted

He could have used proper grammar on this one. He had enough room to spell out the words. I don’t imagine that he’ll write back, but I wanted to at least let him know that he made a mistake.

Grammar Police – @mk1theproducer

I don’t even know where to start with this one. This twitter user is quite the Grammar Felon. We’ve arrested this tweet, and it’s your turn to correct it. Here’s your Daily Oral Language for this morning:

Have fun!

Grammar Police – Oprah “Thanx” the Mothers

Grammar Police: Oprah Winfrey

I know it’s mother’s day, and I understand that Oprah was simply giving a “shout out” to all the mothers, but she had enough characters to not screw this one up so badly. Oprah needs to realize that with so many followers, many of whom attempt to model their lives after her words, she has to be careful about everything – including grammar. I don’t expect her to tweet back. I don’t actually think she writes her own tweet – which, frankly, makes this even worse. If she’s hired someone who has made her seem grammatically challenged, she should be ashamed of herself. She is an intelligent woman, and being as such, I expect better from her.

Grammar Police: Taylor Mali’s “The The Impotence of Proofreading”

Taylor Mali’s poem, “The The Impotence of Proofreading,” is the reason why we are now going to be the Grammar Police of the Internet. Too many people do not check what they have written, thus making incredibly poor grammatical mistakes. It’s time to stop the madness.
